Psychiatric Medications: Q & A with Dr. Descartes Li

Dr. Descartes Li from UCSF gave an hour long presentation on some basics around psychiatric medications and answered crowd sourced questions on the topic. This presentation is extremely helpful for anyone that might be interested in taking medications, is currently taking medications or is supporting someone that is taking psychiatric medications. 

Black Mental Health Summit

Our panel discussion on May 24, 2021 was led by the leader of our Black subcommittee Tamuri Richardson. Panelists included Dr. Jaseon Outlaw and Ms. Ricka L. White-Soso.  This event touched on some of the ways in which mental health and mental health care is experienced differently for Black folks. They offered tips on self advocacy, discussed ways in which the medical field falls short for Black folks and presented possible steps forward.
